The following six Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the McDonald's Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for their performances during competition from December 29, 2025 – January 4, 2026.
Men’s Basketball – Defensive Player
Bushnell University’s Cory Johnson was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
Johnson, a senior forward from Anaheim, Calif., helped lead the Beacons to two conference victories over Northwest University (76-64) and The Evergreen State College (104-80). He tallied 25 rebounds and 47 points to reach double-double status in each contest.
Men’s Basketball – Offensive Player
The Evergreen State College’s Tony Frohlich-Fair was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
Frohlich-Fair, a senior wing from Portland, Ore., powered the Geoducks to its first win of the season over Corban University (104-96). He scored 65 points this weekend while shooting 57.5 percent from the field and 78.3 percent from the line. He also added 19 rebounds, nine assists, and five steals in his well-rounded performances.
Women’s Basketball – Defensive Player
(RV) Eastern Oregon University’s Kelsie Siegner was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Siegner, a senior guard from Crane, Ore., helped the Mounties remain undefeated with victories over College of Idaho (58-52) and Warner Pacific University (91-48). She recorded 24 rebounds, six steals, and three blocks to help limit opponents to an average of 50 points per game. She added 25 total points in her all-around efforts.
Women’s Basketball – Offensive Player
No. 20-ranked Oregon Tech’s Tatum Schmerbach was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Schmerbach, a junior guard from Medford, Ore., guided the Owls to CCC victories over Walla Walla University (88-54) and No. 15-ranked Lewis-Clark State College (65-62). She scored 41 points while shooting 58.1 percent from the field and added 11 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and a block in a dominant all-around effort. The upset over LC State marked OIT’s first ever road win in the series, and it was her 20th consecutive game scoring in double figures.
Men's Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 18-ranked Corban University’s Antonio Garcia was named the CCC Men’s Wrestler of the Week.
Antonio Garcia (285lbs), a senior from Salem, Ore., went undefeated with four wins at the Mat Cat Open. He earned three pins and an injury forfeit to secure his weight class tournament victory.
Women's Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 11-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Holland Wieber was named the CCC Women’s Wrestler of the Week.
Wieber (145lbs), a sophomore from Boise, Idaho, went undefeated with three wins at the Mat Cat Open. She earned three first-round pins, finishing up her opponents in a combined 3:59, to capture her first tournament title of the season.
