CCC Players of the Week Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The following 10 Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the CCC Players of the Week for their performances during competition from September 28 – October 4, 2026.
 
Men’s Cross Country – Runner
No. 2-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Mason Weisgerber was named the CCC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Weisgerber, a senior from Wilsonville, Ore., had an outstanding run at the Charles Bowles Invitational. He completed the 8K in 24:11.3 to finish second among 288 runners. He was the top NAIA finisher and helped lead the Raiders to a first-place finish among NAIA teams.

Women’s Cross Country – Runner
The Evergreen State College’s Alauna Carstens named the CCC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this season.

Carstens, a senior from Shelton, Wash., had an outstanding run at the Charles Bowles Invitational. She completed the 5K in 17:08.3 to finish third among 236 runners. She was the top NAIA finisher while recording the top time this season.

Men’s Golf – Golfer
Corban University’s David Harvey was named the CCC Men’s Golfer of the Week.

Harvey, a senior from Salem, Ore., delivered a standout performance at the CU Warrior Classic. He earned medalist honors, dominating the individual leaderboard with a nine-stroke victory across the two-round tourney to lead the Warriors to a 17-stroke team title.

Women’s Golf – Golfer
The College of Idaho’s InkJung Charnchanayothin was named the CCC Women’s Golfer of the Week.

Charnchanayothin, a sophomore from Bangkok, Thailand, delivered a standout performance this weekend. She started the week by winning her first individual title (224) as a Yote in a field with Rocky Mountain, Bushnell, Dickinson State, and Montana Tech. She then capped it off by having the best round (73) in a dual with NCAA DII Northwest Nazarene University.

Men’s Soccer – Defensive Player
Bushnell University’s Aaron Lowry was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Lowry, a junior goalkeeper from Pasco, Wash., had a strong weekend for the Beacons, helping Bushnell secure back-to-back shutout victories over Warner Pacific University (1-0) and Walla Walla University (2-0). He played the full time in goal across both matches, recording seven saves without allowing a goal to preserve the clean sheets.

Men’s Soccer – Offensive Player
Rocky Mountain College’s Fynn Sweeting was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Sweeting, a sophomore forward from Harpenden, England, powered the Batlin’ Bears to a pair of victories over Oregon Tech (3-1) and Southern Oregon University (1-0). He made three goals in the contests, recording a .571 shot on goal percentage.

Women’s Soccer – Defensive Player
Eastern Oregon University’s Calie Hitt was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Hitt, a freshman defender from Apple Valley, Calif., helped EOU secure a 1-0 upset victory over No. 4-ranked College of Idaho. She anchored a defensive effort that limited the Yotes to just two shots on goal and came up with a game-saving block in the first half to help preserve the shutout.

Women’s Soccer – Offensive Player
Eastern Oregon University’s Samantha Gjersvold was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Gjersvold, a freshman forward from Yorba Linda, Calif., helped EOU secure a 1-0 upset victory over No. 4-ranked College of Idaho. She earned the game winning goal, sinking a long-shot over the Yotes' goalie in the 39th minute.
 
Volleyball – Attacker
Corban University’s Emma Bischoff was named the CCC Attacker of the Week.

Bischoff, a senior outside hitter from Medford, Ore., delivered another stellar weekend for the Warriors. She totaled 29 kills (4.14 k/s). She also added 20 digs and 12 blocks in Corban’s Victories over Walla Walla University (3-0) and Lewis-Clark State (3-1). She recorded a pair of triple-doubles as well with six blocks in either contest, totaling 38.0 points across seven sets played this weekend.
 
Volleyball – Defender
Bushnell University’s Soleil Sands was named the CCC Defender of the Week.

Sands, a senior middle blocker from Vacaville, Calif., had a fantastic weekend for the Beacons. She tallied 16 blocks and added 18 kills during Bushnell's victories over Walla Walla University and Lewis-Clark State. During the match against the Wolves she tied Bushnell’s single-match blocking record with 13.

Volleyball – Setter
Southern Oregon University’s Annie Hite was named the CCC Setter of the Week.
 
Annie Hite, a senior setter from Vancouver, Wash., helped lead the Raiders to a two win weekend. She averaged 7.3 assists and 2.0 digs per set while helping SOU to its two highest attacking averages in Conference play this season at .289 vs. Northwest University (3-1) and .390 vs. The Evergreen State College (3-0).
