College of Idaho def. Warner Pacific University, 87-71
College of Idaho cruised past Warner Pacific 87-71. C of I shot 49.3 percent from the field, controlled the box with 44 rebounds and 42 points in the paint. The Yotes dished out 25 assists, had four players in double-digit scoring, and were led by Rey Johnston with 19 points. WPU had every player contribute and accumulated 31 points off the bench. The Knights also had 11 steals and were paced by Nico Perez-La Costa with 17 points.
Bushnell University def. Evergreen State College, 96-69
Bushnell fended off Evergreen 96-69. BU shot 45.9 percent overall, added 52 rebounds and 35 points off the bench. The Beacons were led by three outstanding performances: Cory Johnson with 24 points, Keenan Reckamp with 20 points, and a double-double for Kaleb Burnett with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The Geoducks were paced by Tony Frohlich-Fair with 27 points and seven rebounds.
Northwest University def. Corban University, 83-80
Northwest upended Corban 83-80 in a thrilling contest. A second-half surge from CU wasn’t enough to come back from Northwest’s strong 47-30 start. NU had four players with 15 points or more, recorded 19 assists, and went 14-16 from the stripe. The Beacons were led by Christian Watkins with 18 points. CU battled offensively with six players in double digits, shooting 54.8 percent from the field, with 48 points in the paint and 12 steals. The Warriors rallied in the second half, outscoring the Beacons 50-30, paced by Clyde Harris Jr. with 13 points and eight rebounds.
RV Lewis-Clark State College def. Southern Oregon University, 73-70
Lewis-Clark State survived a late second-half push from Southern Oregon, 73-70. LC State shot 51.2 percent from the field, had 32 points off the bench, and recorded 15 assists. The Warriors were led by John Lsustig with 20 points. SOU battled inside with 45 rebounds, 30 points in the paint, and outscored the Warriors 39-34 in the second half. The Raiders were paced by Eliiah Jackson with 18 points and a double-double from Bryce Dyer with 11 points and 14 points.
No. 21-ranked Oregon Tech def. Walla Walla University, 116-69
Oregon Tech rolled by Walla Walla with a 116-69 win. OIT shot 52.5 percent from the field, dominated inside with 52 points in the paint and 45 rebounds, and dished out 25 assists. The Hustlin’ Owls set the tone early, scoring 62 points in the first half, led by Jared Sucher with 24 points. The Wolves were paced by a standout performance from Jordan Jackson with 36 points and nine rebounds and a double-double from Soren Dalan of 10 points and 10 rebounds.
