LEWISTON, Idaho. — Day one of the 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference Baseball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, concluded with strong opening round action. Action resumes Saturday at 11 a.m. with an elimination game, followed by a matchup of the two advancing teams at 2:30 p.m. The evening game at 6 p.m. will feature a team awaiting the winner of the opening contest.

No. 4 seed Bushnell University def. No. 5 seed Oregon Tech, 18-4
Bushnell outscored Oregon Tech, 18-4 in seven innings, in game one of the CCC Baseball Championship Tournament. The Beacons delivered a dominant offensive performance, recording 13 hits, including two doubles and a home run, to secure the run rule victory. Bushnell broke the game open with a nine run third inning and continued to build its lead from there. Chase Nye led the Beacons with a perfect day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three runs and an RBI. Nate Stevens and Caleb Richter each drove in four runs to help the offense. Austin Wolfe earned the win on the mound, pitching a complete seven innings with seven strikeouts. Andrew Sharp paced Oregon Tech with two hits, two runs, and three RBIs. Bushnell advances to face top seed Lewis-Clark State in game three at 6 p.m. Oregon Tech moves to the elimination bracket and will play the loser of game two (College of Idaho) tomorrow at 11 a.m.
No. 2 seed University of British Columbia def. No. 3 seed College of Idaho, 10-5
British Columbia defeated College of Idaho 10-5 in game two of the CCC Baseball Championship Tournament. College of Idaho struck first with a run in the opening inning, but UBC responded with two runs in the bottom half and broke the game open with a five run fourth inning. The Thunderbirds totaled 14 hits in the win, highlighted by two doubles from Kellen Bourne and a home run from David Krahn. James Brock earned the win on the mound, allowing just two hits and one earned run while striking out four over six innings. Skye Palmer paced the Yotes with two hits while C of I added two late runs in the ninth but could not complete the comeback. British Columbia advances in the winners bracket to face the winner of game three (Lewis-Clark State) tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. College of Idaho drops to the elimination bracket and will take on Oregon Tech tomorrow at 11 a.m.

Lewis-Clark State won 6-4 against Bushnell in game three of the CCC Baseball Championship Tournament. Bushnell outhit LC State 14-9 but was unable to capitalize, committing three errors in the loss. The Beacons struck first on a Nate Stevens double in the opening inning, but the Warriors responded with two runs of their own to take the lead. Izzy Madariaga and Jackson Reed each hit home runs for LC State, while Brandon Nguyen added two doubles to lead the offense. Caleb Richter paced Bushnell with a perfect 4-for-4 performance at the plate, including a home run. Lewis-Clark State advanced in the winners bracket to face British Columbia tomorrow at 2:30 p.m., while Bushnell moves to the elimination bracket and will play the winner of game four at 6 p.m.
