CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference is proud to announce Caleb Premo of Bushnell University and Natasja Davis of College of Idaho as the 2025-26 CCC U.S. Bank Male and Female Scholar-Athletes of the Year.
The Cascade Conference’s highest academic honor is awarded following a vote by the conference’s athletic directors.
Premo, a senior secondary education major from Wrightwood, Calif., completed one of the most distinguished academic and athletic careers in Bushnell University history. Graduating with a 3.99 GPA, Premo was named the Bushnell Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the School of Education Graduate of the Year, and the recipient of the University’s Outstanding Teacher Leadership Award.
Throughout his collegiate career, Premo earned three Academic All-CCC honors, three NAIA Scholar-Athlete selections, and two CSC Academic All-District recognitions.
In February, Premo was selected to present his original literary research at the 2025 Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association Conference in San Francisco. His paper, “Making Monsters out of Mercy: Grapes of Wrath and the ‘Monstering’ of Altruism,” was accepted into a competitive main-session panel on American literature. He presented alongside a professor emeritus, senior lecturer, and assistant professor, becoming one of only four scholars selected for the panel and one of the few undergraduate students represented.
On the field, Premo tied Bushnell’s single season assists record while helping guide the Beacons to the CCC Tournament, where they upset No. 1 seeded Eastern Oregon University in the quarterfinals. He concluded his career ranked second in program history in goals, assists, and total points, recording the highest totals in each category for a Bushnell player in more than 16 years.
