EUGENE, Ore. – No. 19-ranked Bushnell University collected 15 service aces and took advantage of 26 unforced errors on Friday afternoon, taking down Pacific Union College in four sets, 25-11, 21-25, 25-15, 25-18.
The Beacons (3-1) out-scored the Pioneers by 34 points, hit .215 and out-blocked the Pios 6-2. Soliel Sands had a strong match in the middle for the Beacons, collecting nine kills and just one attack error as she hit .727. Amyah Semau also had nine kills and added 14 blocks while Jerzie Bair earned eight kills and a pair of blocks.
Chloe Farr led all players with 27 digs and six service aces. Addie Evans and Semau added three aces apiece while Emma Fa'alogo earned an aces to go with her team-high 22 assists.
Pacific Union (0-3) closed out their run in the Corban-Bushnell tournament hitting .090, led by eight kills and 11 digs from Malia DeCelle. Sydney Deweese added a match-high 24 assists and four service aces.
