CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2021 Cascade Collegiate Conference women’s basketball season tipped off Tuesday with one game going into overtime.

Eastern Oregon University (3-4, 1-0 CCC) def. College of Idaho (5-2, 0-1 CCC), 87-82 (OT)
Eastern Oregon University and the College of Idaho battled in the CCC opener, with the Mounties coming out on top with an 87-82 victory. Taylor Stricklin paced the Mountie offense a 19-point performance on 6-12 shooting and grabbed 12 boards for a double-double. Coyote Sienna Riggle led all scorers with 26 points on 9-14 shooting and grabbed 10 boards for the double-double.

Warner Pacific University (2-2, 1-0 CCC) def. Multnomah University (0-7, 0-1 CCC), 73-66
Warner Pacific University opened the conference slate with a 73-66 victory over Multnomah University. Courtney Jackson led the Knights both offensively and in crunch-time, scoring 19 points and grabbing three steals, the last of which came with under a minute to play, right when WPU needed to find that final dagger to seal away the win. The Lions’ Katie Skramstad led all scorers with 21 points.

Northwest University (5-1, 1-0 CCC) def. The Evergreen State College (0-3, 0-1 CCC), 66-54
Northwest University grabbed a 66-54 victory over The Evergreen State College to grab its best start to the season in Eagle history. Sam VanLoo led the Eagles with 16 points and 12 boards, while Caitlin Monten had a hot hand from the floor with 12 points on 6-for-8 shooting. Trinity Betoney led all scorers with 20 points for the Geoducks.

Bushnell University (3-3, 1-0 CCC) def. Corban University (1-6, 0-1 CCC), 73-53
Bushnell University extended its winning streak to three-straight with a 73-53 victory over Corban University. For the Beacons, Aspen Slifka (20 PTS, 8-of-17 FG), Bella Pedrojetti (12 PTS, 5-of-7 FG), Kalina Rojas (12 PTS, 6-of-9 FG), and Sarah Reinecker (11 PTS, 4-of-7 FG) all reached double-figures. Gemma LaVergne continued her recent hot streak for the Warriors with 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting, including 5-of-11 from three-point range.

Southern Oregon University (5-1, 1-0 CCC) def. Oregon Tech (5-1, 0-1 CCC), 81-65
Southern Oregon University handed Oregon Tech its first loss of the year with an 81-65 victory. Four Raiders scored in double figures, led by Syd’Nee Fryer’s 19 points (8-for-17). Brianna Phiakhamngon contributed 17 points, while Kami Walk and Kalei Iwami added 15 and 12 points, respectfully. Three Owls finished the night in double figures with Kristin Farrell and Olivia Sprague each chipping in 15 points and Maddyson Tull adding another 12 points.

(RV) Lewis-Clark State College (4-0, 1-0 CCC) def. Walla Walla University (0-4, 0-1 CCC), 61-50
Lewis-Clark State College overcame a 28-22 deficit at the half to earn a 61-50 victory at Walla Walla University. Maddie Holm led a trio of Warriors in double figures with 17 points in the contest, while Sara Muehlhausen had 15 points and 11 rebounds. Carolina Montes led the Wolves with 20 points.
