KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), in conjunction with the American Baseball Coaches Association, has announced the 2021 ABCA-Rawlings-NAIA Baseball Gold Glove Team. The nine award winners, who were chosen based upon their defensive success, were selected by the NAIA Baseball Coaches Association All-America Committee.
Lewis-Clark State College’s Dillon Plew was named to the team after helping the Warriors finish as the No. 3 team in the NAIA. The redshirt-senior third baseman from Kennewick, Wash., started all 49 games he appeared in and finished the season with a .977 fielding percentage. He earned All-Cascade Collegiate Conference honors and the CCC Golden Glove award at third base.
Offensively, Plew tallied 63 hits in 199 at-bats for a .317 batting average. He had nine home runs, 11 doubles, and two triples, while slugging .528 with a .445 on-base percentage. He also drove in 59 runs, scored 61 himself, and was 3-for-3 in stolen bases.
