More Records, More Qualifiers for Warrior Track and Field at Lauren McCluskey Memorial Open

MOSCOW, Idaho – It was another historic day for LC State Track and Field in Moscow on Saturday at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial Open. Four automatic-qualifying times were earned and seven school records fell in the process. Freshman Madigan Kelly bettered her Warrior record in the 60m hurdles twice on the day, and senior Clayton VanDyke displayed pure domination in the 600m and 1000m. Standout Cole Olsen also put on a show in the 3000m.

“Big day for the Warriors in Moscow,” Head Coach Mike Collins said. “We had so many positive results today, it’s kind of hard to keep everything clear with the outstanding performances. We had a lot of wins today. Just excited to see everyone competing this well.”

THE WOMEN
Local Lewiston talent dented the record books for LC State throughout the day.

Kelly won the 60m hurdles with a national-qualifying time and broke the school record twice along the way. Sara Hathaway also had a strong showing in the event, finishing fourth (9.19).
