Wildcats Hold Off Mountaineers in Game Two of Series, 3-1

McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Mountaineers Baseball battled through nine innings in a low scoring affair Saturday afternoon but came up short in a 3-1 loss in game two of the series. With the loss, Eastern Oregon is at 3-3 this season.

How it Happened

• Eastern cut their deficit to one-run in the top of the sixth. Trevor Curl led off with a single and four batters later he was plated home on an RBI fielder's choice from McKlane Elgin.
• The Wildcats brought the score to its final of 3-1 with a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the eighth. Eastern was unable to make the comeback in the ninth, falling by two.
