PORTLAND, Ore. – The College of Idaho men's track and field teams began the 2022 outdoor portion of their schedule at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Classic with 17 CCC Championship qualifying performances.
Lane Maher won the 110m hurdles in a CCC Championship qualifying time of 14.68 and third in the 400m dash in 51.93. Collin Glass led a one-two finish by C of I in the shot put with a toss of 45-11 3/4 (14.01m). Teammate Alec Kuzmack was second with a heave of 45-6 1/4 (13.67m) as both performances qualify them for the CCC Championships. Also with a CCC Championship qualifying toss was Tanner Sackman, who finished fifth with a toss of 42-6 3/4 (12.97m).
Stephen Campbell won the discus with a CCC Championship qualifying toss of 140-9 (42.90m). Sackman secured his spot at the CCC Championship with a fourth place finish with a toss of 133-1 (40.56m). Kuzmack and Glass also recorded CCC Championship qualifying marks with a toss of 130-11 (39.90m) and 129-1 (39.34m), respectively. The duo of Kuzmack and Glass also were second (152-11 / 46.60m) and third (148-4 / 45.22m), respectively as both qualified for the CCC Championships.
Mark Sullivan took second in the pole vault with a CCC Championship clearance of 14-2 (4.32m). Kade Setoki took second in the long jump with a leap of 21-7 1/2 (6.59m) to secure a spot at the CCC Championships. C of I took second, third and fourth in the triple jump as all three performances were CCC Championship qualifying jumps. Nate Griswold was second (44-1 1/4 / 13.44m), Koyote Zimmerman was third (43-0 1/2 / 13.12m) and Johan Coben was fourth (41-4 1/2/ 12.61m). Plus, Braden Health was able to secure a CCC Championship qualifying time in the 5,000m run with a time of 15:10.89.
Casey Senethavilay took fifth (11.37) in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash (22.98)
