KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fourth-ranked Lewis-Clark State College’s Sam Linscott was named the NAIA Baseball Player of the Week, announced Tuesday by the national office.
Linscott, a senior outfielder from Marysville, Wash., had a spectacular day at the plate for LC State in a doubleheader sweep of Eastern Oregon University. He launched three home runs and had nine RBIs in two games, and also legged out a triple for 2.000 slugging percentage. He went 5-for-8 on the day and had one stolen base. Linscott had one big fly in game one and two in the second contest.
