SALEM, Ore. – Rainy, snowy conditions at Creekside Golf Club prevented eight Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) men's golf squads from completing their third and final round of the Corban Spring Invite on Tuesday. Though many of the participants were roughly halfway through their third round, the results from today will be washed away, and yesterday's scores (from the first two rounds of play) will serve as the official scores for the event.
Early in the afternoon, the torrential conditions forced a stoppage of play, and after a delay of roughly an hour, officials made the decision that the course was unplayable.

No. 12-ranked Lewis-Clark State College put together an impressive team effort, topping runner-up placers Oregon Tech and No. 6 British Columbia, who tied for second with 606 strokes apiece. The 12th-ranked Warriors from Lewiston, Idaho were propelled by the top-three individuals on the leaderboard, with Jorgen Viken's even 144 (E) earning him medalist accolades.
In-state rivals Bushnell and Multnomah earned a share for fourth, and College of Idaho (6th), Walla Walla (7th), and Corban (8th) rounded out the team standings. Of note, the Navy and Gold had a disqualification in round one yesterday, adjusting the squad's score from yesterday's originally-reported tally.
For Corban, Nick Torry led the charge with a 9-over 153, putting him in a tie for 11th individually.
Calvin McDonough and Riley White each signed 36-hole scores of 167 (+23) on Monday to deadlock at 35th, and Max McDonough rounded out the Navy and Gold's counting scores with rounds of 86 (+14) and 84 (+12).
Aaron Buechley's 76 (+4) on round one was tossed out due to the aforementioned disqualification, and he signed a score of 89 (+17) in his second pass.
Competing as an individual, Troy Flanagan headed to the clubhouse with a two-round stroke count of 180 (94, 86).
"Despite the craziest of all weather, I was very proud of how our men persevered through the elements and played well," said head coach Charlie Marshall. "We're looking forward to the conference championships in two weeks, and we are hoping to send our three seniors off with a great all-time finish."
Corban will now set its sights on the CCC Championships. The postseason tournament will determine who earns the conference's automatic berth to the NAIA Championships on May 24-27, and will be hosted by Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls, Ore. The tournament will take place on April 25-26.
