LOGAN, Utah – The College of Idaho men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Utah State University for the 2022 Aggie Invitational against a field full of NCAA Division I competition for the last two days.
On the women's side, in the field events, Catylynn Duff recorded a throw of 182-8 (55.67m) to finish fourth in the hammer throw to eclipse her own school record of 181-4 (55.29m). The throw by Duff is just over three feet (38 inches) further than anyone to date in the NAIA and an improvement of nearly nine feet on her season best.
Plus, Naeve Rodgers improved on her season best in the long jump with a CCC Championship qualifying mark with a leap of 16-6 (5.03m).
On the track, Sage Martin won the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 11:04.26 which is a NAIA "A" qualifying time. Abbey Shirts was third in the 800m run with a time of 2:17.27.
Plus, Roby Young was sixth in the 400m dash with a time of 59.45 to secure a spot at the CCC Championships. Also, for the Yotes was Jessica Dorohov, who lowered her season-best in the 100m dash with a time of 12.72 and in the 200m dash with a time of 26.68.
