CORVALLIS, Ore. – After one match already kicked off the season, the 2022 Cascade Collegiate Conference volleyball schedule is in full swing Friday as 10 teams –
College of Idaho and Bushnell University will miss the opening day – battle it out to determine who will win the regular-season crown and the first of the CCC’s two automatic qualifiers (AQ). The top six teams in the final standings will also advance to the CCC Volleyball Championship Tournament presented by U.S. Bank, with the other AQ on the line.
Corban University was the
unanimous choice to win the conference championship and leads
four teams currently ranked or receiving cotes on the NAIA Coaches’ Poll.

Walla Walla University is one of two teams to already have a conference match under its belt, taking Lewis-Clark State College to four sets in their first match of the year. No. 22 Southern Oregon University started hot and is on a five-match winning streak as it enters CCC action.
Warner Pacific University vs. The Evergreen State College
Warner Pacific University opens the year at The Evergreen State College, which started the year with a 1-3 record. The Geoducks beat Saint Katherine in four sets and will look to build on that win as they start conference action.
Multnomah University vs. Northwest University
Multnomah University also plays its first match of the season, hosting Northwest University. The Eagles come into the contest at 4-4 after splitting every day of both of their preseason tournaments.

Oregon Tech makes its home debut after opening the year 3-3 on the road. Lewis-Clark State College has a CCC match under its belt, downing WWU 3-1 last week. The last time these two teams met was in the CCC Volleyball Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, last year.

This is a match to watch as both teams sit in the top-10 of the NAIA Coaches’ Poll and is sure to be a banger. Both teams opened the year with a 7-1 record, including wins over ranked opponents and look to carry momentum into conference action.
