KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Bushnell University’s Spencer Hoffman was named the NAIA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced Tuesday by the national office.
Hoffman, a junior from Eugene, Ore., had another huge weekend as the Beacons won twice to move into a four-way tie for sixth in the CCC after an 0-3 start. He scored 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting to lift Bushnell 106-78 over The Evergreen State College and followed with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting in a 95-89 victory over Northwest University.
Hoffman finished the week averaging 20.5 points per game on 68.2 percent shooting and had 13.0 rebounds per game and three blocks on the weekend. He has scored 20 or more points in eight straight games.
In CCC games, Hoffman ranks second for field goal percentage (.633) and third for scoring (18.2 ppg) and rebounding (9.5 rpg).
