CORVALLIS, Ore. – After being the only Cascade Collegiate Conference team to go unscathed with two wins this week, the No. 1 College of Idaho Men’s Basketball team was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for Nov. 20 – 26, the CCC announced Sunday.
Jake O'Neil, Johnny Radford, Samaje Morgan and Straton Rogers each scored in double figures as College of Idaho defeated Hope International by 70-53 in the team’s first win of the week. C of I shot 42.3% from the field while O'Neil scored 15 points to lead the Yotes in Friday’s victory.
The next day, Drew Wyman, Radford and O'Neil all scored in double figures on its way to a 79-70 win over Montana Western to conclude the teams non-conference games. College of Idaho was led by a career-best 25-point effort from Wyman, a junior who hit three 3-pointers and made six of seven free throws. Down at half, the Yotes used a 14-2 run to start the second half to take a 43-34 lead. C of I remained on top for the rest of the contest while outrebounding by a total of 47-34.
Next up, the College of Idaho (5-1) men’s basketball team will travel to Southern Oregon University on Friday and Oregon Tech on Saturday to tip off the Yotes 2023-24 CCC season.
