LCSC Carpenter Named NAIA Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lewis-Clark State College’s Jennah Carpenter was named the NAIA women’s indoor field athlete of the Week, announced Wednesday by the national office.

Carpenter is a sophomore from Lewiston, Idaho who had a stellar weekend at the Whitworth Invite. She reached multiple national-qualifying standards while finishing at the top of several events.

Carpenter began her weekend on a high note in the high jump, where she is ranked second in the NAIA, with a record-breaking leap of 1.70m. She then competed in the pentathlon for the first time in her career and reached a 3,340 total, placing second at the meet and eighth in the NAIA. She completed the meet by running a leg of the 4x400m relay team that hit the B standard with a time of 3:57.51, which ranks 13th in the NAIA this season.

Carpenter will appear next at the EOU NAIA Last Chance Invite this weekend.
