2022-23 CCC Men’s Basketball Seedings

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The seeds for the 2022-23 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, were finalized Saturday night.

The College of Idaho men’s basketball team was named the number-one seed of the Cascade Conference Men’s Basketball season on February 7th. The team has secured the second undefeated conference record, sharing the spotlight with the 2019-20 Coyotes team. As the second seed, Eastern Oregon University finished the conference with a 16-6 record.

Southern Oregon University will enter the tournament as the third seed, Warner Pacific University will be seeded fourth place while Corban University will be the fifth seed. The teams finished the regular season with identical 15-7 records but with a three-way tie, league criteria require the comparing records amongst the tied teams. SOU came out on top at 3-1, WPU was 2-2 and CU was 1-3.

Lewis-Clark State College takes the fifth seed and Oregon Tech follows as the sixth seed. The teams split their conference season with 11-11 records along with their head-to-head matchups. LCSC (2-8) came out on top of OIT (1-9) after applying the second tiebreaker criteria of comparing records against teams with .500 or above conference records.
