Changes In Weekend Softball and Baseball Slate

Corvallis, Ore. – If anyone bet against Punxsutawney Phil, who saw his shadow on groundhogs’ day February 2nd, it would be, as the old saying goes - a fool and their money are soon parted. The predicted six more weeks of winter-like weather has held true and has forced a bevy of changes to the weekend softball and baseball schedule.

Softball Changes-
The University of British Columbia will still travel to Montana to take the University of Providence but those games will now take place in Missoula, Montana at the University of Montana turf field rather than Great Falls. Games remain on Friday/Saturday and will be 11 a.m./1 p.m. MST.

The Bushnell University at Eastern Oregon University matchup has been shifted to a Saturday/Sunday schedule and games will be held in La Grande but at the turf field at Community Field rather than on the EOU campus. Game times are (Sat.) noon/2 p.m. and (Sun) 11 a.m./1 p.m. PST.

The Northwest University at Carroll College series has also moved to Saturday/Sunday and will now be played at the East Helena High School turf field in Helena, Montana. Game times are 2/4 p.m. MST on Saturday and 11 a.m./1 p.m. MST on Sunday.

Baseball Change-
The weekend marks the start of conference action in baseball. The Oregon Tech at Eastern Oregon University series has been moved to Saturday/Sunday and will be played at Walla Walla High School, Murr Sports Field. Game times will be noon/3 p.m. PST.
