Sage Martin; Abbey Shirts Lead College of Idaho Women's Track & Field at Friday Night Light Meet

PORTLAND, Oregon – The College of Idaho women's track and field teams took part in the Friday Night Light Meet hosted by Lewis & Clark.

Sage Martin led a sweep of the top five finishers in the 5,000m run with the fastest time in the NAIA to date, crossing the line in 16:48. Behind her was Kahea Figueira (17:51.70), followed by Larissa Mauer (18:10.79), Charlie Duff (18:15.22) and Molly Connor (18:20.90).

Abbey Shirts won the 1500 with a season-best time of 4:31.97 for the second fastest time in the NAIA to date. Sage Wood was the first to the finish line in the 200m (26.01) and was second in the 100m (12.75).

Charlotte Bowman was third in the 100 (12.81) and fourth in the 200 (26.72). Graycee Litton was third in the 400m hurdles (1:12.01)

In the field events, Ally Sofaly won the long jump (16-10.75 / 5.15m) and Addison Trent was third (16-6/5.03m). Kay Reed was third in the discus with a toss of 105-0 (32.01m) and Star Herron was third in the shot put (38-8.75 / 11.80m).
