KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Southern Oregon University's Abi Stevens was named the NAIA Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week by the national office on Wednesday.
Stevens, a sophomore from West Allis, Wis., had a fantastic weekend at the Pacific Multis, a two-day, seven-discipline event. She competed in the heptathlon, finishing 2nd of 23 athletes. The five-time All-American surpassed the NAIA qualifying standard by more than 500 points and currently owns the second-best score in the country, ending the meet with a final score of 4435.

Stevens will have a chance to improve her score at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Multi-Event Championships on April 20-21 in Ashland Ore., at Raider Stadium.
