KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Men's Track & Field Scholar-Athletes on Wednesday.
The Cascade Collegiate Conference saw a total of 63 student-athletes earn the honor. University of British Columbia led the CCC with 14 student-athletes. College of Idaho followed with 11. Corban University was next with nine while Lewis-Clark State College had eight. Oregon Tech received seven and Eastern Oregon University had six student-athletes on the list. Bushnell University got four while Southern Oregon had three representatives. Multnomah University rounded out the honors with one individual.
The 2023 list features 805 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. To be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
