SILVIS, IL – The UBC Thunderbirds have put themselves into a prime position to repeat as NAIA Women's Golf national champions. Thursday afternoon in Silvis, Illinois at TPC Deere Run, Chris MacDonald's crew put forth a terrific +14 effort during the third day of competition, putting them firmly in first place, 15 strokes ahead of second place Keiser University. Their three-day total sits at +51. Individually Una Chou (+11), Sonja Tang (+12) and Grace Bell (+13) are all within striking distance of Hannah Ulibarri of The Masters University who leads the tournament at +6.

INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD
After a difficult +28 combined score Wednesday, the 'Birds came out flying during 'moving day.' The blue and gold doubled their birdie output from a day ago, combining for 10 on the day – Four of which came from Una Chou. Sonja Tang, Elizabeth Labbe and Grace Bell each added a pair of birdies on the day.
Chou sits +11 over the course of three days after carding scores of 73, 76 and 75 so far. She's tied for sixth place.
Grace Bell had the best Day 3 score for UBC as she finished +1 (72) on the day. She went bogey-less between holes 4 and 15 and notched both of her birdies during the back nine. She's alone in 10
th place.
Despite a triple bogey six on hole 3, Sonja Tang finished her Thursday round at +3 (74). Her Round 3 highlight came on holes 16 and 17 where she secured back-to-back birdies. Tang sits one shot ahead of Grace Bell, alone in ninth.
With a +6 (77) score, Elizabeth Labbe put forth her best effort of the tournament so far and sits at +22 and tied for 31
st. She leapfrogged 16 spots up the leaderboard thanks to her Thursday effort.
Jessica Ng rounded out the day for UBC with a three-shot improvement from Wednesday. She finished with an 83 and is tied for 47
th place with a three-round score of +27.
