GREENWOOD, Ind. – 53 Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes were named to the 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men’s and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators. They recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competitions and in the classroom.
The Women led the conference with 31 individuals. Bushnell University, College of Idaho, Corban University, and Lewis-Clark State College all had five student-athletes make the list. Eastern Oregon University and Southern Oregon University each had four. Oregon Tech rounded out the CCC Women with three.
On the Men’s side, Lewis-Clark State College led with five again. College of Idaho, and Corban University followed with four. Eastern Oregon University had three student-athletes while Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon University each had two to round out the CCC.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution for a full year. To be eligible, nominees must participate in 50 percent of the competitions that an institution schedules in either cross country, indoor track, and field, or outdoor track and field.
