CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2023 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s soccer season officially begins Friday.
All 14 teams kick off the season as they battle for the regular-season championship and the CCC’s first automatic qualifier (AQ) to the NAIA National Tournament. The second AQ will be awarded to the winner of the CCC Men’s Soccer Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank., starting on Nov. 6 in Eugene, Oregon.
After taking the CCC regular season and tournament title, Warner Pacific University was chosen to defend their crown again in the
CCC Preseason Poll. Currently, the Knights are receiving votes, along with Southern Oregon University, in the latest
NAIA Coaches Top 25 Rating.
(RV) Southern Oregon University vs. (RV) Warner Pacific University
The two CCC teams receiving National votes kick off the conference season. Southern Oregon was on a four game win streak before falling to Menlo last weekend. The Raiders will head to Portland, Ore., to face the Knights who currently hold a 3-1 record and have 15 goals on the season. The teams tied both matchups last year, though Warner Pacific knocked SOU out of the CCC Tournament in penalty kicks.
Eastern Oregon University vs. Northwest University
Northwest currently holds a 3-1 record and the third spot in the conference ranking as they head into the season. The Eagles will host the Mounties who are looking to pick up their first win with a tough 0-2-2 start to the year.
College of Idaho vs. The Evergreen State College
College of Idaho enters the year with a 1-1-1 record. The Yotes will travel to Olympia Wash., to face Evergreen who currently holds a 1-3 record.
Oregon Tech vs. Multnomah University
Oregon Tech (2-1-1) and Multnomah (2-2) are both currently looking for their third win as they kick off conference season. The Owls will travel to Portland, Ore., to battle the Lions.
Bushnell University vs. Corban University
Bushnell is currently leading the conference with a 4-0-1 record. The Beacons will travel down the road to Salem Ore., where the Warriors (0-2-2) are looking for their first win of the season.
University of Providence vs. Rocky Mountain College
The Montana teams are both looking for their third win of the season. Providence (2-2) is looking to hand Rocky (2-0-2) its first loss of the season as the Battlin’ Bears are currently tied for third in the conference standings.
Carroll College vs. Walla Walla University
Carroll (0-1-1) and Walla Walla (0-1) are both looking for its first win of the season as they enter conference play.
