CORVALLIS, Ore. – College of Idaho was chosen to claim the Cascade Collegiate Conference crown for the fourth consecutive year as the 2024-25 CCC Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll released on Wednesday by the conference office.
College of Idaho received nine first-place votes with 140 total points in the poll. C of I won the regular-season championship before falling in the CCC Men’s Basketball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank. The Yotes went on to dominate in the 2024 NAIA Championship before ending its journey in the fab four, completing its season with a 32-4 overall and 21-1 CCC record.
Oregon Tech picked up the remaining three first-place votes along with 134 points to sit second in the standings. OIT earned the 2024 CCC Tournament title and advanced to the NAIA Tournament before falling in the 2nd round. The Owls completed last season with a 27-6 overall and 18-4 CCC record.
Lewis-Clark State College followed in third with 115 points. LC State’s outstanding year earned the Warriors an at-large bid to the National Tournament where they finished in the round of 16, ending the season with a 24-9 overall and 19-3 CCC record.
Southern Oregon University tallied 100 points while Corban University held 93 points to round out the top five spots. Eastern Oregon University came in behind with 89 points and Bushnell University secured the seven spot with 66 points.
Warner Pacific University (57 points), Northwest University (50 points), and Multnomah (41 points) completed the eight through ten teams, respectively. The Evergreen State College (26 points) and Walla Walla University (25 points) separated by a point to close out the poll.
The CCC regular season begins on November 26th, and the CCC Men’s Basketball Tournament tips off on February 25th at campus sites with the winner earning one of the CCC’s AQ to the NAIA Championship Tournament.
