CORVALLIS, Ore. –
For the fourth-straight year, Lewis-Clark State College was chosen to win the Cascade Collegiate Conference championship as the CCC released the 2025 Baseball Preseason Poll on Tuesday.
Lewis-Clark State picked up seven first-place votes and 62 total points to land atop the coaches poll. Last season the Warriors earned the CCC regular season title but fell to Bushnell University in the championship tournament. LC State advanced to the NAIA Baseball World Series on a host site berth where they were eliminated by our own University of British Columbia, finishing the year with a 38-13 overall record.
British Columbia claimed one first-place vote and 55 points to sit second in the poll. UBC did not win the conference regular season or tournament but advanced to the NAIA Tournament with an at-large bid, where the Thunderbirds played five hard games before ending its season to Arizona Christian University with a 34-21 overall record.
Oregon Tech was next with 48 points for a third place ranking. OIT completed the conference season with a 34-18 overall record. Bushnell followed with 43 points. In just its third season as a program, the Beacons won the 2024 CCC Baseball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank. The team ended with a 29-26 overall record after falling in the first two games of the NAIA Tournament.
College of Idaho rounded out the top five with 30 points. Eastern Oregon University (22 points) and Corban University (19 points) landed in the sixth and seventh spots, respectively. Warner Pacific University’s new program received nine points to round out the poll.
The 2025 CCC Baseball Championship Tournament is set for May 2-5 and will be hosted by the regular season champion. The tournament winner will earn the conference’s automatic berth to the NAIA Baseball World Series.
