CCC Players of the Week Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The following 13 CCC student-athletes have been recognized as the Cascade Collegiate Conference Players of the Week for their performances during competition from October 28 – November 4, 2024.

Men’s Basketball – Defensive
Corban University’s Ben Krystkowiak was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.

Krystkowiak, a sophomore guard from San Diego, Calif., was dominate in the Warriors opening weekend win. He recorded three steals, two blocks, and two rebounds while adding three assists and 11 points on a field goal shooting percentage of 50.

Men’s Basketball – Offensive
Bushnell University’s Ashton Harvey was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.

Harvey, a junior forward from Castle Rock, Wash., had a strong pair of games in the Beacons 1-1 opening weekend. He shot 65.2 percent from the field, averaging 19 points per game while adding five assists and 21 total rebounds (10.5 reb/g).

Women’s Basketball – Defensive
Southern Oregon University’s Meghan McIntyre was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.

McIntyre, a senior guard from Long Beach, Calif., had a stellar weekend in the Raiders two upsets. She tallied seven steals, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists on top of 24 points (12 ppg).

Women’s Basketball – Offensive
Lewis-Clark State College’s Sitara Byrd was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.

Byrd, a junior guard/forward from Spokane, Wash., was impressive in the Warriors first victory of the season. She recorded a 64.3 shooting percentage from the floor with 21 total points, nine rebounds, and two steals.

Men's Wrestling – Wrestler
Embry-Riddle’s Jayden Lutrell was named the CCC Men’s Wrestler of the Week.

Lutrell, a junior from Albuquerque, N.M., began his season with a 1st place finish at the Falcon Invite. He went 6-0 on the weekend, including three falls and two major decisions with two victories over ranked opponents.

Women's Wrestling – Wrestler
Southern Oregon University’s Carolina Moreno was named the CCC Women’s Wrestler of the Week.

Moreno (131lbs), a senior from Somerton, Ariz., outscored her three opponents, for a 34-0 combined total, to win the Menlo Open title this weekend with three technical falls.

Men’s Soccer – Defensive Player
Northwest University’s Michael Kot was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Kot, a junior goalkeeper from Pasco, Wash., helped lead the Eagles to two tough wins against No. 25-ranked Southern Oregon (2-1) and Oregon Tech (4-1). He posted a .920 save percentage with an astonishing 23 saves while spending full time in the net during both victories.

Men’s Soccer – Offensive Player
Northwest University’s Matthew Ludlow was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Ludlow, a sophomore forward from Gig Harbor, Wash., helped lead the Eagles to two tough wins against No. 25-ranked Southern Oregon (2-1) and Oregon Tech (4-1) with three total goals.

Women’s Soccer – Defensive Player
(RV) Eastern Oregon University’s Rylee Schei was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Schei, a junior goalkeeper from Great Falls, Mont., kept the opponents scoreless in the Mounties wins against Multnomah (1-0) and Warner Pacific University (3-0). She played full time in the net during both contests, completing seven total saves.

Women’s Soccer – Offensive Player
Oregon Tech’s Kayla Ness was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Ness, a senior midfielder from Kent, Wash., helped lead the Owls to two shutouts over The Evergreen State College (2-0) and Northwest University (3-0). She recorded a goal in each game with a .833 shot on goal percentage, helping OIT clinch the No. 2 see in the CCC Tournament.

Volleyball – Attacker
(RV) Bushnell University’s Hailey Heider was named the CCC Attacker of the Week for the second time this season.
 
Heider, a junior outside hitter from Albany, Ore., had another dominate weekend in the Beacons victories against Northwest (3-1) and Evergreen (3-0). She hit .380 with 6.86 kills per set and 3.71 digs per set while adding six block assists, four service aces, and two assists.

Volleyball – Defender
Lewis-Clark State College’s Natany Felix Guimaraes was named the CCC Defender of the Week.

Felix Guimaraes, a senior libero from Brazil, had a fantastic weekend for LC State, totaling 44 digs (6.29 d/s) and 12 assists (1.71 a/s), helping lead the Warriors to a 3-1 upset over No. 23-ranked College of Idaho.

Volleyball – Setter
Northwest University’s Morgan Harter was named the CCC Setter of the Week.
 
Harter, a junior setter from Ridgefield, Wash., had an outstanding weekend in the Eagles tough competition. She tallied an incredible 80 assists (8.89 a/s) on top of 37 digs, three kills, and three service aces.
