CORVALLIS, Ore. – The seeds for the 2023-24 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, were finalized Saturday night. While there is still one CCC game left to play tonight, it has no impact on the qualifications or seedings.
The No. 3-ranked College of Idaho men's basketball team claimed the CCC regular season championship title yesterday. With a 21-1 conference record, the Yotes were named the number one seed in the postseason tournament for the fourth consecutive year (excluding the adapted 2020-2021 tournament due to COVID-19).
Lewis-Clark State College earned the 2nd seed, completing the conference season with a 19-3 record. No 16-ranked Oregon Tech followed as the 3rd seed with a 17-4 CCC record. Then, Southern Oregon University clinched the 4th seed via tiebreaker criteria against Corban University. This was done by comparing records against teams with .500 or above conference records, both teams ended with a 14-8 CCC record and split its regular season matchups.
Bushnell University (12-10 CCC) secured the 6th seed and Eastern Oregon University (11-11 CCC) landed in 7th while Northwest University (7-15 CCC) was seeded 8th to round out the tournament.
