Rize Laboratory Players of the Week Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The following seven CCC student-athletes have been recognized as the Rize Laboratory Players of the Week for their performances during competition from Feb. 19 – 25, 2024. 

Men’s Basketball – Player
Lewis-Clark State College’s Tech’s Jaedon Bradley was named the Rize Laboratory Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Bradley, a senior forward from Denver, Colo., led the Warriors to its final two regular season wins, helping secure the second seed in the CCC post season tournament. The victories were against the third (No. 16-ranked Oregon Tech, 97-84) and fourth (Southern Oregon University, 87-76) teams in the conference standings. He shot 50 percent from the field and behind the arc while making 9-of-11 free throws. He tallied 19 points in each contest and across the weekend he recorded 12 rebounds, three blocks, and a steal in 62 minutes played. 

Women’s Basketball – Player
No. 22-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Meghan McIntyre was named the Rize Laboratory Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.

McIntyre, a junior guard from Huntington Beach, Calif., led the Raiders to a conference title with two final victories over Walla Walla University (65-49) and No. 6-ranked Lewis Clark State College (60-58). She recorded 23 points in the first game and 20 points in the second. Over the weekend she shot an impressive 54.3 percent from the field and made all three of her free throws, totaling 43 points. She added seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals across 66 minutes played.

Women's Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 5-ranked University of Providence’s Erin Hikiji was named the Rize Laboratory Women's Wrestler of the Week for the second time this season.

Hikiji, a 101lbs sophomore from Mililani, Hawaii, is ranked 1st individually and was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament during the 2024 CCC Championship. She received a bye the first round before defeating both her ranked opponents by technical fall, only giving up one point during the championship bout. 

Baseball – Player
Oregon Tech’s Julien Jones was named the Rize Laboratory Baseball Player of the Week.

Jones, a junior outfielder from Washougal, Wash., had an outstanding weekend for the Owls as they split a four game series against NCAA Dll competition, Western Oregon University. He recorded eight hits for a .500 batting average and a .875 slugging percentage. Across the week he tallied six runs, six RBIs, and knocked out two home runs while adding four stolen bases. Defensively, he was perfect in the field with 14 putouts. 

Baseball – Pitcher
College of Idaho's Oliver Massie was named the Rize Laboratory Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Massie, a junior from Boise, Idaho, had a fantastic appearance on the mound for his first win as a Yote. He threw six solid innings in C of I’s upset over Lewis-Clark State College (14-5). He only allowed one earned run and struck out nine batters to hold a 1.50 ERA. 

Softball – Player
Oregon Tech’s Kaila Mick was named the Rize Laboratory Softball Player of the Week for the second time this season.
 
Mick, a graduate student shortstop from Klamath Falls, Ore., led the Owls to a 2-2 week in California. She recorded eight hits with six being for extra bases for an outstanding .571 batting average and a 1.071 slugging percentage. She added nine RBIs, four runs, and a walk while touching 15 total bases. She topped off her stellar week in the field with eight putouts and six assists.
 
Softball – Pitcher
Eastern Oregon University’s Kaylie Hoskins was named the Rize Laboratory Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.

Hoskins, a junior from Lake Stevens, Wash., continued as a dominant force on the mound for the Mounties. She allowed just one earned run in 10 innings pitched while striking out an impressive 22 batters across the weekend to hold a 0.70 ERA.
