KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Southern Oregon University’s Cammeo Ramirez has been selected as the NAIA Women’s Track Athlete and Andrew Mitchell as the NAIA Men’s Field Athlete of the Week. The winners were selected based on their performances from March 4 - 10 out of a pool of nominees from across the country.

Mitchell, a senior from San Diego, Calif., logged the top javelin mark in the NAIA and broke the Southern Oregon school record by over 8 feet at 67.53m in his first outing of the season, topping his old PR by 8-7. He also placed 3rd of 43 in the discus at 46.11m at the Lane Open.

Next up, the Raiders are headed to Sacramento, Calif., this weekend to compete at the Hornet Invitational.
