VICTORIA, B.C. – The Corban University Women's Golf program opened up their spring season of competition earlier today in the first of two rounds across the northern US border in British Columbia, where they had three individuals competing in a two-day tourney hosted by the University of Victoria commonly known as the Vikes Spring Shootout.

"Today was a great season opener for our spring season!" Warriors' assistant coach Carrie Wallace shared. "It was a test of our abilities and an opportunity to shake off the competitive rust. The ladies are improving from the fall and are hungry for more, and we're looking forward to seeing what they can accomplish tomorrow!"
The three Warriors in attendance competing as individuals this week were guided on the leaderboards by senior Kristin Senatra, who completed a round of 79 this afternoon to position herself in a three-way tie for fifth place. She's currently just two strokes back of a top two spot, with the current leader from the University of British Columbia Okanagan well ahead of the pack at +1 overall, but not quite out of reach.
Freshmen Olivia Wyatt (102) and Amerika Jones (107) concluded day one in 26th and 28th, respectively, and will look to improve upon their marks tomorrow in the final day of the Vikes Spring Shootout before heading back to Oregon to enjoy a two week training period before their next event in early April.
