KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2023-24 Daktronics NAIA Women’s Wrestling Scholar-Athletes with 125 student-athletes recognized. This winter, 28 institutions placed wrestlers on the list.
The Cascade Collegiate Conference saw 20 total honorees. Southern Oregon University led the way with seven total. Vanguard University followed close behind with six student-athletes while Menlo College was next with four. Eastern Oregon University earned two and University of Providence rounded out the CCC one recipient.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.
