2024 CCC Women’s Track and Field Championship - Day One

RESULTSTOURNAMENT CENTRAL

Klamath Falls, Ore. | The first day of the 2024 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Track and Field Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, is completed. University of British Columbia leads in the team score by a narrow 1.5 points.

WOMEN’S TEAM SCORES (through 10 events) – University of British Columbia (104), Eastern Oregon University (102.5), College of Idaho (60), Lewis-Clark State College (57), Southern Oregon (32), Corban University (21.5), Oregon Tech (16), Multnomah (16), Bushnell University (12), The Evergreen State College (4).

HAMMER: For the second consecutive year, Kenna Woodward of Eastern Oregon took the top spot with a mark of 55.16m. Michelle Dadson (54.34m) and Bella Hall (50.57m) of British Columbia followed.

STEEPLECHASE: Kiana Gibson of British Columbia won the event with a time of 10:24.91. Kylee Quinton (11:35.58) of College of Idaho and Samantha Dara (11:40.63) of Corban followed.

POLE VAULT: Sonya Urbanowicz of British Columbia took first with a mark of 4.01m. Katherine Martinez (3.55m) of Southern Oregon and Taylor Joyce (3.35m) of Eastern Oregon followed.

DISCUSS: Kenna Woodward of Eastern Oregon received her second top place finish of the day with a mark of 40.78m. Ilyhia Greely (40.11m) of Southern Oregon and Star Herron (39.18m) of College of Idaho followed.

4x100-METER RELAY: UBC’s squad took the top spot on the podium with a time of 46.32. Multnomah finished in second with a time of 46.50 and Eastern Oregon finished third with a time of 47.18.

1,500 METERS: Abby Ylipahkala of British Columbia earned first place with a time of 4:34.04. Abbey Shirts (4:34.90) of College of Idaho and Katelyn Cotterell (4:35.35) of British Columbia followed.

LONG JUMP: Rebecca Dutchak of British Columbia received the top spot with a mark of 5.90m. Jennah Carpenter (5.71m) of Lewis-Clark State and Abi Stevens (5.62m) of Southern Oregon followed.

100-METER HURDLES: Madigan Kelly of Lewis-Clark State defended her title with a time of 14.11. Rebecca Dutchak (14.47) of British Columbia earned second place. Jennah Carpenter of Lewis-Clark State and Sydney Peck tied for third with a time of 15.10.

400 METERS: Taylor Joyce of Eastern Oregon won the event with a time of 56.71. Emily Collins (57.23) and Anika Grogan (57.73) of Lewis-Clark State followed.

10,000 METERS: Ellyse Tingelstad of College of Idaho defended her title with a time of 38:20.18. Teammate Molly Connor (40.11.69) and Abigail Gorton (42.48.39) of Lewis-Clark State followed.
