Thunderbirds in close third ahead of NAIA Championship final round

SILVIS, Ill. – The UBC Thunderbirds are in a four-team race for the NAIA National Championship ahead of the final round of the tournament on Friday.

The T-Birds (+56) sit third after the third round of the event, four strokes ahead of SCAD-Savannah (+60) and two strokes behind second place Oklahoma City University (+54). First place Keiser University (+40) opened up their tournament lead significantly on day three, now holding a 14-stroke advantage going in to the last 18.

After carding an incredible 68 (-4) for the best single round of the tournament on Wednesday, Keiser's Ho Ki Lau followed it up with another subpar round on Thursday, firing a 71 (-1), which matches the next best round of anyone at the tournament, to sit at +2 overall and hold a three-stroke lead for the individual championship.
