T-Birds In Second After Day 1 of the 2024 NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship

MARION, Ind. – (RESULTS) The first day of the 2024 NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship concluded with five champions and a new record.

University of British Columbia sits in 2nd in the team scores with 18 points. College of Idaho holds T-7th place with eight points.

The 2023 heptathlon runner-up Rebecca Dutchak of University of British Columbia sits in second place with a total of 3157 points.
Dutchak’s highest finish came in the 200m at first place with a time of 25.25. Abi Stevens of Southern Oregon University is third, totaling 3121. After day one, the senior's highest finish was second place in the high jump with a mark of 1.70m.
 
National Champion- Pole Vault: Sonya Urbanowicz (3.85m) of University of British Columbia earned back-to-back national champion titles.
 
All-American- Hammer Throw: Michelle Dadson (57.84m) of University of British Columbia earned 3rd place.
 
All-Americans- Javelin: Sarah Snell (41.74m) of University of British Columbia earned 7th place.
 
All-Americans- 10,000-meter run: Ellyse Tingelstad (36:19.43) of College of Idaho placed 2nd.
 
Hudl TV will be the official home of the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championship streaming. It will broadcast as many events as possible. Due to the possibility of schedule overlap, there could be some events that are not fully streamed. The end of the current event will be prioritized over moving to the following event. We hope to have everything streamed, barring any schedule changes.
