T-Birds Lead After Day 2 of the 2024 NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship

MARION, Ind. – (RESULTS) The second day of the 2024 NAIA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship saw two first-time champions, one two-time champion, two three-time champions and one new record.

University of British Columbia is currently ahead by 32 points in the team scores with 61 total points. College of Idaho holds 6th place with 13 points.

On day two, the Cascade Collegiate Conference saw two individuals and one relay team earn National Champion titles. Eight student-athletes and two relay teams reached All-American status.

National Champion- HeptathlonRebecca Dutchak of British Columbia has worked her way up to No. 1 in the heptathlon over the last three years. Dutchak's first championship mark was 5th in 2022. She was runner-up in 2023 and followed it up with a national championship title in 2024 with a point total of 5252. The 2024 championship total is a new personal best for the junior.
Abi Stevens of Southern Oregon University earned 2nd place with a total score of 5205. Lizzy Grandle of Eastern Oregon University also earned All-American status with 4720 total points for an 8th place finish.
 
National Champion- 4x800-meter relay: For the third consecutive year, University of British Columbia has claimed the National Champion title with a time of 8:46.34. College of Idaho (9:01.14) also earned All-American status with a 4th place finish.
 
National Champion- 5,000-meter racewalk: Olivia Lundman of British Columbia won the 5000m race walk for the third consecutive year, breaking the championship record with a time of 22:47.37. Teammates Joean Lu (24:22.31) and Cassidy Cardle (25:05.27) also added points for the team with 2nd and 4th place finishes, respectively.
 
All-Americans- Triple Jump: Sydnie Zywina (12.30m) of Lewis-Clark State College earned 5th place. Brittany Coleman (12.21m) of Multnomah earned 8th place.
 
Hudl TV will be the official home of the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championship streaming. It will broadcast as many events as possible. Due to the possibility of schedule overlap, there could be some events that are not fully streamed. The end of the current event will be prioritized over moving to the following event. We hope to have everything streamed, barring any schedule changes.
