KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Flor Parker Borrero of (RV) The Evergreen State College has been named the NAIA Women’s Wrestler of the Week. She was selected based on her performances from January 13 - 19 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.
Parker Borrero (160lbs), a junior from Tacoma, Wash., is ranked No. 2 in her weight class and continued her undefeated streak this season. She picked up five victories over the weekend with two against CCC opponents in dual matches, Jocelyn Velasco of EOU and Kyree Rubio of Westcliff. She added three wins by pins to earn the individual championship at the Evergreen Open. On the year, Parker Borrero is 16-0 with 15 falls, and one tech fall.
Next up, the Geoducks will compete in their final regular season match against Linfield University this weekend, before the 2025 CCC Conference Championship on March 2nd.
