CORVALLIS, Ore. – University of Providence earned the top spot in the 2025-26 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Wrestling Preseason Poll, announced by the conference office on Thursday.
The Argos collected six first-place votes and 62 total points in the coaches’ poll. Last season, Providence finished as the CCC Tournament runner-up but led all CCC teams at the NAIA Women’s Wrestling Championships with a national champion and two additional All-Americans, placing 6th overall.
Southern Oregon University, the reigning CCC Women’s Wrestling Champion, received two first-place votes and 58 points to rank second. The Raiders placed 7th at the national championship, producing five All-Americans.
Eastern Oregon University came in third with 43 points, followed closely by The Evergreen State College in fourth with 42 points. Westcliff University secured fifth place with 34 points, while Simpson University was sixth with 21 points.
Arizona Christian University (17 points) and Hope International University (11 points) enter the poll as first-year programs, rounding out the preseason rankings.
The 2026 CCC Women’s Wrestling Tournament is set for March 1, hosted by Southern Oregon in Ashland, Oregon. Automatic berths to the NAIA national championship are awarded to the top finishers in each weight class. Additional qualifier allocations will be released by the national office succeeding all NAIA conference tournaments. The 2025 NAIA Women’s Wrestling Championship will take place on March 13 - 14 in Park City, Kansas.
