Corban University def. Bushnell University, 94-85
Corban opened conference play with a 94-85 victory over Bushnell, keeping its undefeated start intact. The Warriors shot an efficient 55.9 percent from the field and went 18 for 24 at the free throw line. Bushnell stayed in the battle with 16 second chance points, but Corban countered with eight fast break points as both teams traded momentum throughout.
The teams were even in the paint with 42 points each, while Corban held a slight 33-32 advantage on the glass. Four Warriors reached double figures, highlighted by a standout performance from Jersey Huerta, who finished with 30 points and seven assists. Emilia Bishop anchored the defensive effort with nine rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.
Corban pulled away late, building its largest lead of 10 points early in the fourth quarter. Bushnell was driven by Ayden Krupke who poured in a game high 36 points to pace the Beacons.
