CORVALLIS, Ore. – The (RV) Lewis-Clark State College men’s basketball team was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for February 10 – 16, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
This week, Lewis-Clark State made a series comeback with victories over No. 24-ranked Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon University. The team improved its record to 15-5 in the conference season.
On Friday, the Warriors upset the Owls with a final score of 87-80. The teams were tied after the half, but LC State came out strong to secure the victory. LCSC shot 55.7% from the field and tallied 48 points in the paint. Alton Hamilton led the Warriors with 22 points and 14 rebounds. He was 10-for-14 from the field. John Lustig also scored 20 points for the Warriors on an 8-for-11 night with seven rebounds and four assists.
The next day, the Warriors defeated the Raiders with a final score of 84-79. LC State shot 54.8 percent from the floor, 43.8 percent from 3-point range, and made 75 percent of its free throws. Hamilton and Lustig continued to lead the Warriors with 22 and 20 points, respectively.
Up next, Lewis-Clark State will head to face Corban University and Bushnell University in the final weekend of the 2024-25 CCC regular season.
