AURORA, Ore. – An unreasonable amount of rain between Saturday and Sunday morning resulted in day two of the Lewis & Clark Tri-Meet to be canceled, providing the Corban University Women's Golf team with a tourney title to begin the 2025 spring season as they look to build upon their play from last fall and begin their trek towards the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament in April.

The four Warriors who were in attendance for this weekend's tourney were joined by three Beacons from fellow Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) member Bushnell University, along with six different Pioneers from tourney host NCAA DIII Lewis & Clark College. While the Beacons couldn't qualify for the team title due to only having three eligible student-athletes in action, the Pioneers had an additional golfer participating as an individual through both rounds of the tri-match.
A single stroke is all it took for the Navy and Gold to beat out L&C following the opening round, with graduate student Kristin Senatra leading the three Corban freshmen in third place at 83 overall. True freshman Yaone Mokgatle was right behind Senatra in fourth and two strokes behind the upperclassman at 85, while freshmen Ashlyn Thomas (91) and Madelyn Moore (94) concluded their outings in sixth and tenth, respectively.
The Warriors will next be in action two weekends from now on March 8th and 9th when they travel to the Pacific Spring Invite, hosted by NCAA DIII Pacific University at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.
