CORVALLIS, Ore. –
The following 12 Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the CCC Players of the Week for their performances during competition from March 24 – 30, 2025.
Baseball – Player
No. 20-ranked Lewis-Clark State College’s Charlie Updegrave was named the CCC Baseball Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Updegrave, a senior first baseman from Oakridge, Ore., had a tremendous weekend for the Warriors, helping lead to two Monday wins over Eastern Oregon University and a series split with Oregon Tech. He tied the CCC career home run record (39) on Sunday with his fifth home run of the week. He recorded a .440 batting average and a 1.080 slugging percentage. He also added 10 runs and 12 RBIs while earning a .563 on base percentage. He was perfect on defense to round out his impressive performances.
Baseball – Pitcher
(RV) University of British Columbia’s Ryan Heppner was named the CCC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Heppner, a junior from Points Roberts, Wash., had a fantastic performance on the mound against Warner Pacific University, leading to a 12-2 victory. In seven innings he let up just one earned run and three hits while striking out a season high 12 batters for a 1.29 ERA and a .43 WHIP.
Softball – Player
No. 2-ranked Oregon Tech’s Puakea Milbourne was named the CCC Softball Player of the Week.
Milbourne, a junior first baseman from Kapolei, Hawaii, had an outstanding outing for the Owls, helping lead to seven victories this week. She recorded 12 hits, including three doubles and a homerun for a .444 batting average and a .667 slugging percentage. Across the weekend she tallied five runs and 10 RBIs. She was perfect on defense to round out her impressive performances.
Softball – Pitcher
No. 1-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Ayla Davies was named the CCC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season.
Davies, a freshman from Burns, Ore., had a terrific performance on the mound for SOU. She allowed just two earned runs across 23 innings with 27 strikeouts for a .60 ERA and a .64 WHIP. She now leads the NAIA in wins at 18-1 overall and is second in saves. She did not walk a batter all week and recorded a season high 13 strikeouts against Bushnell University.
Beach Volleyball – Pair
No. 7-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Lucretia Benolken and Kira Sandoval were named the CCC Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week.
The sophomore duo recorded three wins while hosting another CCC regular season tournament as the third pair. They became the first CCC pair to knock off Corbans University’s Emmi Marks and Jesica McMillian (21-18, 11-21, 15-12). They also swept Bushnell University’s Haley Engelbrecht and Anessa Stotts twice (21-17, 21-11; 21-16, 21-6). The pair improved to 8-3 in CCC play.
Men’s Golf – Golfer
Lewis-Clark State College’s Alex Navarro was named the CCC Men’s Golfer of the Week.
Navarro (68-69-67 – 204), a senior from Valencia, Spain, finished first at The Warrior Spring Classic out of 43 total golfers. He recorded a career low and shot a 12-under-par tournament total for his first collegiate win, helping lead the Warriors to a team title by nearly 40 strokes.
Women’s Golf – Golfer
No. 17-ranked Oregon Tech’s Quincy Beyrouty was named the CCC Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Quincy (74-69 – 143), a senior from Salem, Ore., finished first at the Simpson Spring Invite for her fifth medalist honor of the season. She finished at 1-under-par to win by eight strokes and help OIT to the team title.
Men’s Outdoor Track & Field – Track Athlete
University of British Columbia’s Maximilien Filion was named the CCC Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Filion, a sophomore from Candiac, Que., had an outstanding week at the UBC Open. He finished first in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 9:00.14 to reach an NAIA “A” Standard which currently ranks at the top of the NAIA this season.
Men’s Outdoor Track & Field – Field Athlete
Oregon Tech’s Eli Stevens was named the CCC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Stevens, a junior from Medford, Ore., had a successful weekend at the Pacific Multi-Event Meet. He finished first out of 20 athletes in the Decathlon with a personal best score of 6668 to reach an NAIA “A” Standard which currently ranks at the top of the NAIA this season.
Women’s Outdoor Track & Field – Track Athlete
Oregon Tech’s McKenna Donovan was named the CCC Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Donovan, a freshmen runner from Medford, Ore., had a successful weekend at the Humboldt Invite. She won the 200m with a time of 25.84 and placed second in the 100m with a time of 12.62. Both marks qualified for the CCC Championship.
Women’s Outdoor Track & Field – Field Athlete
Eastern Oregon University’s Adrienne Washington was named the CCC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Washington, a senior from Lewiston, Idaho, had a dominant weekend at the Pacific Multis. She finished first in the heptathlon with a score of 4638 to reach an NAIA “A” Standard which currently ranks at the top of the NAIA this season.
