CLEVELAND – The final LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup winter standings for NAIA have College of Idaho leading nine Cascade Collegiate Conference institutions in 11th place with 525 total points.
The Yotes winter season was highlighted by a National Title in men’s basketball. C of I also secured points by making National Championship appearances in women’s basketball along with men’s and women’s indoor track and field. Southern Oregon University followed right behind in 12th place with 502.50 total points from National Championship appearances in men’s and women’s basketball along with men’s and women’s wrestling and men’s and women’s indoor track and field. Eastern Oregon University was next with 437 total points, ranking 16th with showings in women’s basketball along with men’s and women’s wrestling and men’s and women’s indoor track and field.
Lewis-Clark State College was the next CCC team in 53rd, gathering 237.50 total points from men’s and women’s basketball and women’s indoor track and field. Corban University landed ranked at 68th, collecting 189.5 total points in men’s wrestling and women’s indoor track and field.
Oregon Tech sat in 87th with 125 total points added from men’s and women’s basketball. The Evergreen State College secured the 101st spot with 98 points in women’s wrestling and women’s indoor track and field.
Bushnell University (59.50 points) and Multnomah (16.50 points) rounded out the ranked CCC teams in 124th and 170th, respectively, with All-American’s in men’s indoor track and field.
The LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution’s finish in NAIA Championships.
The final spring standings will be released on Tuesday, June 10.
