EOU Wins Fifth Straight CCC Men’s Track and Field Championship

ASHLAND, Ore. – At the conclusion of the 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Track and Field Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, Eastern Oregon University took the team title for the fifth straight year.
 
FINAL AWARDS:
New awards include Most Valuable Performer, based on cumulative individual points, and Outstanding Track/Field Performer of the Meet, based on single excellent event/performance.

Most Valuable Performer – Justin Krabbenhoft, EOU (32.5)
Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet – Justin Ash, EOU-(won steeplechase that included top-4 performers in NAIA)
Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet – Carson Le Bel, SOU-(meet's top pole vault in 6 years, 3rd in NAIA)
Coach of the Year – Ben Welch, EOU
Sportsmanship Award – Corban

MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM SCORES – Eastern Oregon University (203), College of Idaho (163.5), University of British Columbia (106), Lewis-Clark State College (86), Corban University (64), Southern Oregon University (64), Bushnell University (52.5), Oregon Tech (37), Multnomah (32), Northwest University (11), The Evergreen State College.
 
100 METERS: Multnomah’s Willy Mabena claimed the title and set a meet record with a time of 10.53 seconds. Corban’s Donald (DJ) Armstead Jr. (10.65) and British Columbia’s Yoosuf Hanafi Bacha (10.71) placed second and third.

200 METERS: Multnomah’s Mabena won again with a time of 21.30. Jordan Castillo (21.74) of Lewis-Clark State and Osman Osman (21.76) of Eastern Oregon rounded out the podium.

800 METERS: Austin Uhl of Eastern Oregon ran a time of 1:52.35 for the win. Griffen Parsells (1:53.60) of LC State and Braydon Lee (1:53.61) of Corban followed.

5000 METERS: Daniel Butler of College of Idaho claimed the title in 14:39.20. Southern Oregon’s Frankie Maciel (14:41.01) and Mason Weisgerber (14:42.39) followed.

400M HURDLES: James Kerr of British Columbia won with a time of 53.59. Eastern Oregon’s Bryson Spears (54.37) and Oregon Tech’s Ryan Doherty (55.45) earned podium finishes.

TRIPLE JUMP: Bushnell’s Jermaine Schexnayder Jr. won with a mark of 14.84m. Trenton Johnson (14.67m) of LC State and Ty Kishen (14.39m) of Bushnell were next.

HIGH JUMP: Bushnell’s Jermaine Schexnayder Jr. and Eastern Oregon’s Tyler Jones tied for first with a mark of 2.03m. Justin Krabbenhoft of EOU cleared 1.97m for third.

SHOT PUT: Eastern Oregon’s Tanner Nett earned the win with a throw of 17.21m. Southern Oregon’s Kobe Johnson followed with a mark of 16.37m and College of Idaho’s Keenan Blair completed the podium at 15.95m.

DISCUS: Eastern Oregon’s Mark Church led with a throw of 49.33m. College of Idaho’s Tanner Sackman (48.00m) and Tanner Nett (47.08m) of EOU followed.

4x400 RELAY: Eastern Oregon sealed the team title with a win in the 4x400-meter relay, clocking 3:13.95. Lewis-Clark State (3:15.35) and College of Idaho (3:16.04) were next.

The 2025 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place May 21-23 at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
