UBC Wins CCC Women’s Track and Field Championship

ASHLAND, Ore. – At the conclusion of the 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Track and Field Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, University of British Columbia earned the team title.

FINAL AWARDS:
New awards include Most Valuable Performer, based on cumulative individual points, and Outstanding Track/Field Performer of the Meet, based on single excellent event/performance.

Most Valuable Performer – Adrienne Washington, EOU (35)
Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet – Charlotte Bowman, C of I-(100m meet record)
Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet – Sonya Urbanowicz, UBC -(pole vault meet record)
Coach of the Year – Laurier Primeau, UBC
Sportsmanship Award – Corban

WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM SCORES – University of British Columbia (239), College of Idaho (161), Eastern Oregon University (125.5), Oregon Tech (71), Lewis-Clark State College (60), Southern Oregon University (60), Corban University (37.5), Bushnell University (19), The Evergreen State College (19), Multnomah (16), Northwest University (4).

SHOT PUT: Michelle Dadson of British Columbia won with one throw of 13.01m. Aurora Parsons (12.98m) of Oregon Tech and Stella Gray (12.48m) of the College of Idaho took second and third, respectively. 

DISCUS: Aurora Parsons of Oregon Tech claimed gold with a throw of 42.42m. Kaylee Wuest (40.87m) of the College of Idaho and Jalyn Sackrider (40.82m) of Evergreen State earned podium finishes.

JAVELIN: Sarah Snell of British Columbia topped the field at 44.39m. Adrienne Washington (43.21m) of Eastern Oregon and Aurora Parsons (41.11m) of Oregon Tech completed the podium.

TRIPLE JUMP: Sydnie Zywina of Lewis-Clark won the event with a leap of 11.84m. Sophia Small (11.11m) of Oregon Tech and Mattie Shirts (10.72m) of College of Idaho were next.

HIGH JUMP: Three athletes cleared 1.69m, with Kayla Morgan of Corban earning the win on attempts. Sarah Pimblett of British Columbia and Abi Stevens of Southern Oregon followed.

100 METERS: The top three finishers all crushed the previous CCC meet record. Charlotte Bowman of College of Idaho ran a time of 11.60 to finish first. Hanna Sobkowich (11.61) and Debbie Suleman (11.77) of UBC finished right behind.

200 METERS: Sobkowich (23.89, new CCC meet record), Suleman (24.49), and Bowman (24.66) recorded the top spots on the podium again.

800 METERS: Mackenzie Campbell of British Columbia won in 2:10.37. Kylee Quinton (2:11.20) of College of Idaho and Sarah MacGillivray (2:12.91) of UBC rounded out the top three.

400M HURDLES: Skotlyn Hill of Eastern Oregon earned the win with a time of 1:01.11. Mia Cameron (1:02.92) and Haley Martin (1:03.12) of UBC placed second and third.

5000 METERS: Kahea Figueira of College of Idaho led the distance field in 17:27.36. Southern Oregon’s Alyssa Johnson (17:35.86) and Cammeo Ramirez (17:47.40) followed.

4x400 RELAY: British Columbia capped the meet with a relay win in 3:50.05. College of Idaho (3:53.74) and Eastern Oregon (3:55.56) completed the podium.

The 2025 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place May 21-23 at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
