MARION, Ind. –
[RESULTS] The second day of the 2025 NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship saw six individual champions crowned.
In the team standings, University of British Columbia took over the top spot with 44 points. Southern Oregon University is tied for eighth place with 12 points.
National Champion- Heptathlon: Abi Stevens of Southern Oregon emerged as the overall winner with a total of 4961 points to secure the national title. Stevens demonstrated consistent performance across all events, securing top positions in the 100m hurdles, high jump, and 800m, which contributed significantly to her victory. Stevens captured the top spot with her third-place finish in the 800m to overtake the runner-up.
Adrienne Washington of Eastern Oregon University rounded out the top five with 4760 points. Her performance was highlighted in the high jump where she secured the top spot.
National Champion- 5,000-meter Race Walk: Olivia Lundman of British Columbia won the race for the fourth consecutive year, breaking her previous championship record by over 20 seconds with a time of 22:22.79. Izabelle Trefts of The Evergreen State College finished in second place with a time of 23:22.79. UBC's Grace Wong earned seventh place with a time of 25:48.36.
National Champions- 4x800 Relay: British Columbia emerged victorious with a time of 8:57.89 for the fourth connective year. The team consisted of Kara Fitzgerald, Laura Beghin, Mackenzie Campbell, and Sarah MacGillivray. They started in second place after the first leg, with Fitzgerald clocking a split of 2:15.946. Beghin maintained the momentum with a split of 2:15.604. Campbell then propelled the team into the lead with a swift 2:10.007, and MacGillivray sealed the victory with a final split of 2:16.326.
National Champion- Pole Vault: Sonya Urbanowicz of University of British Columbia earned her third straight national champion title after winning a jump off by clearing 4.00m in her third attempt.
All-American- Shot Put: Michelle Dadson (14.08m) of University of British Columbia earned seventh place.
The top eight finishers in each event are NAIA All-Americans.
The final day of the championship will open with the 3,000m steeplechase finals at 12 p.m. CT/1 p.m. ET. The day will culminate in crowning a team champion with the Red Banner at approximately 5 p.m. CT/6 p.m. ET.
