MARION, Ind. –
[RESULTS] University of British Columbia won the Battle for the Red Banner for the third time as well as crowning 14 individual champions on the final day of the 2025 NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
British Columbia emerged as the dominant force, securing the top spot with an impressive 74 points. Their athletes delivered outstanding performances across various events.
Eastern Oregon University tied for 7th place with 26 points. Southern Oregon University tied for 15th place with 19 points. College of Idaho tied for 19th place with 15 points. Lewis-Clark State College and Corban University tied for 56th place with three points. Northwest University held one point.
National Champion- 3000m Steeplechase: Dylan Uhrich of British Columbia emerged victorious with a time of 8:59.39. Uhrich displayed a strong finish, moving from eighth place at the first split to first by the final split. His most significant gain was in the last segment, where he clocked a 1:03.042, the fastest final split among all competitors.
Maximilien Filion of British Columbia finished closely behind his teammate Uhrich with a time of 9:01.02. Filion maintained a consistent pace throughout the race, often staying within the top positions. He briefly led the race at the 6th split but was overtaken in the final stretch.
Justin Ash of Eastern Oregon secured third place with a time of 9:05.77. Ash had a remarkable mid-race surge, moving from 14th at the second split to 1st by the fourth split. However, he couldn't maintain the lead in the final laps.
Braden Heath of College of Idaho placed fourth with a time of 9:07.32. Josiah Jaquith of Northwest University finished in eighth place with 9:10.39.
All-American- 400m Hurdles: British Columbia’s James Kerr earned fifth place with a time of 52.21.
All-American- 800m: Lewis-Clark State College’s Griffen Parsells finished in sixth place with a time of 1:51.42.
All-Americans- 5000m: Southern Oregon University’s Frankie Maciel finished in second place with a time of 14:28.92. Teammate Mason Weisgerber earned eighth place with a time of 14:42.60.
All-American- Pole Vault: Southern Oregon University’s Carson Le Bel finished in second place with a mark of 4.95m.
All-American- Pole Vault: Eastern Oregon University’s Tanner Nett finished in third place with a mark of 17.55m.
All-American- Triple Jump: British Columbia’s Lyle Lo finished in second place with a mark of 15.34m.
The top eight finishers in each event are NAIA All-Americans.
