CCC Players of the Week Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The following seven Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the CCC Players of the Week for their performances during competition from August 18 – 24, 2025.
 
Men’s Soccer – Defensive Player
Carroll College’s Juan Muniz Navarrete was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Muniz Navarrete, a graduate student goalkeeper from Hermiston, Ore., led the Fighting Saints to a 1-0 shutout over Northwestern Ohio on Friday to open the season. He recorded four saves during his full time in the net to help lead to the victory.

Men’s Soccer – Offensive Player
Southern Oregon University’s Ariel De Dios Cruz was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
De Dios Cruz, a sophomore forward from Eugene, Ore., had outstanding performances in the Raiders two victories to kick off the season. He scored both goals in the 2-0 victory against Pacific University, including a 55-yard go-ahead strike. He then assisted in the first goal in the 2-1 win over Benedictine Mesa (Ariz.).

Women’s Soccer – Defensive Player
Eastern Oregon University’s Tess Sando was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Sando, a senior defender from Minden, Nev., played a pivotal role in securing a dominant 4-0 shutout against Dordt University to kick off the Mounties season. She helped limit Dordt to one shot on goal while also scoring one herself to cap off her overall dominant performance.

Women’s Soccer – Offensive Player
Southern Oregon University’s Ava Johnson was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Johnson, a sophomore forward from West Sacramento, Calif., helped the Raiders open its season with a 5-0 victory over Benedictine Mesa (Ariz.). She scored two goals and added an assist while recording a .750 shot on goal percentage and reaching a new career high in points with five.
 
Volleyball – Attacker
Corban University’s Makayla Roginski was named the CCC Attacker of the Week.
 
Roginski, a senior outside hitter from Gresham, Ore., had a wonderful weekend for the Warriors. She helped lead Corban at the MBU Invitational against four-straight top twenty programs. She combined 57 kills across 15 sets (3.80 k/s) on a nearly .400 kill percentage, all while adding 16 blocks and 13 digs defensively in her outstanding performance.

Volleyball – Defender
Eastern Oregon University’s Kiauna Mack was named the CCC Defender of the Week.

Mack, a senior middle hitter from Puyallup, Wash., helped lead the Mounties to a 4-0 start to the season. Over the weekend she earned 28 blocks in 13 sets (2.15 b/s) while tallying three digs and two assists. She also added a service ace and 43 kills for a .348 hitting percentage to demonstrate her all around efforts.  

Volleyball – Setter
The College of Idaho’s Shaynee McWilliams was named the CCC Setter of the Week.
 
McWilliams, a freshman setter from Meridian, Idaho, carried the Yotes momentum to an undefeated start to the season. Over the weekend she recorded 74 assists (6.17 a/s) and 22 digs (1.83 d/s) across 12 sets. The newcomer also added four kills, four service aces, and a block to make an immediate impact in C of I’s thrilling victories.
